How Often?

Two to three treatments of VITARAN, four weeks apart will be required initially to achieve maximum results, though can be given as an individual session. VITARAN will take 2-6 weeks for results to be noticeable, therefore may not be suitable for people wanting instant results and is most beneficial with 2-3 treatments.

Treatments will subsequently require top ups every 6-12 months, dependent on skin quality.

Aftercare Advice:

Avoid the following for 24 – 48 hours:

• Excessive heat such as steam rooms, saunas & sunbeds

• Strenuous/excessive exercise

• Alcohol

• Make-up

• Avoid other facial treatments for 1-2 weeks

Ensure skin is kept clean and dry and avoid rubbing/touching the areas for the first few hours following treatment to minimise risk of infection. Drink plenty of water and stay hydrated. Always wear SPF on the skin to protect from UV sun damage, as VITARAN is NOT a substitute for this.

Does it hurt?

Minor discomfort may be felt due to the nature of needles used to inject the product into the skin, however numbing cream is optional to reduce any discomfort that may be felt.

Are there any risks involved?

Polynucleotides typically pose a low risk of potential side effects. However, some common side effects may include bruising, or small, red, localised bumps appearing at the injection point. These side effects are normal and generally subside within four to six hours. Infection is always a risk to any injectable treatment, though reduced with infection prevention measures within procedure and appropriate aftercare advice given.
